We distributed over 300 glasses of ORS water on 12th Sept, 2024. Even though it was not supposed to be summer, the weather in Kolkata was very hot and humid, making the need for hydration more critical than ever. This unusual spike in temperature caught many residents off guard, reminding us of the climatic changes we are increasingly facing. In response to this pressing situation, our team mobilized swiftly, ensuring that we reached various high-traffic areas where people were seeking relief. The overwhelming response to our initiative was heartwarming, as individuals expressed their gratitude and shared stories about how the heat affected their daily lives. Many locals stopped to chat, highlighting just how essential access to hydration is during these sweltering days, ultimately reinforcing our commitment to serve the community in times of need.
